Much like a rabid animal being forced to bite back after being backed against a wall, Trump’s volatile internal relations have led him to release a plethora of ultimatums.

Trump’s attacks toward the media is nothing new to us. Such an instance once again took place in wake of the scrutiny that arose as a response to the comments of the president, regarding the attacks on Charlottesville and his failure to fully condemn Nazi propaganda. Providing a barrage of excuses regarding the comments made about Charlottesville, he attempted to pin the blame on the media outlets such as The New York Times, CNN, and The Washington Post, stating that they were the ones responsible for bastardizing and misconstruing the words of the president.

However, pitching the blame on the media isn’t all that’s been on the forefront. Sending ultimatums to Congress seems to be yet another addition to Trump’s repertoire of how to run this country, though it's not yet clear if it’s about running the country effectively or into the ground. Sending an ultimatum to the United States government, Trump stated that he would willingly bring about a governmental shutdown if his proposed federal spending budget that allocates a large budget into building the wall, the most famous promise of Trump’s presidential campaign.

Such a move for the defensive is not quite surprising. The downward trajectory is rather distinct, and the lack of capacity to compromise by the Trump administration is only exacerbating the effect. The distancing of Trump’s inconsistent and turbulent ideologies with the demands of the Republican party certainly portrays itself as a sign of a failing presidency.

Such a prospect is also increasingly unhealthy, as it incentivizes the most incensed supporters of Donald Trump to act accordingly to the divide. The increasing amounts of open acts of racism are a troubling indicator of that very divide. Such a divide will only lead to more and more clashes of ideologies, potentially driving the country to such distinct divides that violent outbreaks may become the norm.

Shades of yet another civil war are on the horizon, and this time, the hatred runs deeper and might be the precedent for an even bloodier war.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
