The show everyone is talking about "Game of Thrones" a show filled with swords, magic, dragons, crude language, nudity, and of course gore. If you have never seen a second of this show just go onto Youtube and you will be able to see some of the best moments in television history such as "The Red Wedding", "The Purple Wedding", "The Mountain vs The viper" etc. This season produced several other must-see moments that secured "Game of Thrones" as one of the best television shows of all time. But the question is, where does "Game of Thrones" rank among the best shows? So I'm here to give you the ranking of all-time television shows.
5) "Jersey Shore"
Something about these off the rails guidos was so entertaining. The first season was a must watch week in and week out. After the first season the show became a little stale, I mean you can only watch people workout, go to the club, and go to the beach only a handful of times before you become bored. But I'd put those first couple of episodes above most shows. Then when they went to Italy it was like a whole new show, watching a bunch of partiers from Jersey trying to survive in a different country was hilarious. Pauly D was an electric protagonist who was always trying to keep the peace between all the big personalities in the house. But the instability that the personalities had was what made the show so great. Week after week two members of the house were ready to throw hands. Whether it be The Situation and Snookie, or Ronnie vs Sammi, the house was always ready to explode.
4) "The Office"
The best comedy of all time, every episode of "The Office" contained one or two knee-slapping quotes. It wasn't just the quotes that put a smile on the viewers face, but the situation comedy that came up every episode. Whether it was Dwight's outrageous remarks or Angela's awkwardness, "The Office" could amuse anyone. Also, Michael Scott may be one of the best characters out there, his lack of self-awareness made him laugh out loud funny.
3) "Lost"
A show that I've watched all the way through more than once, "Lost" is an instant classic. There were so many great characters on the show, not just Jack Sheperd and John Locke, but Ben Linus, Sawyer, Kate, and of course Hurley all hold a special place in my heart. Each character had an aura of mystery about them, and you never knew if characters were going to flip or not episode by episode. The only knock I have on this show is the ending I'm not going to spoil it but this would've been the best show if it wasn't for the ending.
2) "Game of Thrones"
"Game of Thrones" has become more than a show, it has become a culture. It has captured the hearts of many people, in a short amount of time. Every week it seems like more and more people are talking about Game of Thrones. I'm not a big medieval guy, but this show has become a huge part of my week. When Sunday night rolls around I go zero dark 30 and for an hour go dark and just watch the best show on television today. The show has some huge stones, and is never scared to kill off characters no matter how important they seem. With two seasons left I can see Game of Thrones taking the top spot, but as of now it's a close second.
Honorable Mentions
"Walking Dead" started out strong but got stale after each week became the same show over and over
"Breaking Bad" I could never get into it, started off too slow for me but I'll give people with patience the benefit of the doubt with this show
1) "24"
Jack Bauer made this show a must watch on television. The plot was perfectly developed each week, and each episode had a heart-stopping moment in it. Jack Bauer was also the baddest dude in the game, a true patriot who risked his life for his country on numerous occasions. The United States would've been destroyed several times if it wasn't for Jack. There was supposed to be a 24 movie, but it never caught steam, and unfortunately the world has to wonder what could've been.
