Coronavirus has us quarantining, social distancing, and cancelling places like schools and universities. We are moving online for the rest of the year and with the CDC advising less and less people be in one place at a time, staying home remains the best option for many people like you and me. So, here are seven tips from an introvert for all of the extroverts out there that may be struggling with the lack of social interaction.

Find something that helps you escape from the world for a while.

This can be anything like a book, a puzzle, that show you've been meaning to watch, or that video game you want to beat. Go back to simpler times and play Minecraft or The Sims again. Find something that makes you forget about the state of the world, but keeps you inside for a while.

Clean your room/house/apartment.

Blast some music, turn on a tv show or movie, or listen to a podcast and get cleaning. Now is the perfect time to go through and clean your space. Maybe give that one room that you've been throwing everything into some attention and organize everything so that it looks and feels clean and uncluttered again.

Have a game night.

If you are with friends, family, or a roommate or two, grab them and have a game night. This can be anything from card games to board games to video games. Just grab someone in the same house and find a game to play. If you are by yourself, see if a friend wants to play a game online!

Call someone and talk.

If you are getting tired of being away from your friends, call them. Call a family member you haven't chatted with in a while. Talking to someone can make it feel like they are there and you won't feel like you are alone for a bit.

Have a plague party.

Get a SMALL group of friends together (after you all have been isolated for at least two weeks and none of you have symptoms) and have a party. You can turn this into a sleepover if you want too. Have snacks and catch up with each other for the night. Play games, have movies or music going, watch a show together. Spending some time with friends in this weird and crazy time will make things feel normal again.

Get comfortable in your own skin.

Try out some new outfits, do an at home workout, try something new. Do whatever you need to feel comfortable in your own skin. This might be as small (or big) as getting comfortable with being alone. Whatever it is, you can do it!

Play with your furry friends!

Let's be real here, the pets are the ones who are winning during the outbreak. While your home, give your pets some attention. They are excited that you are around more and will love the extra attention and play time.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
