How to Interact With A Celebrity

As someone who loves the Entertainment industry, I've always wondered if there was a certain way you should behave when you see a celebrity. I never thought I'd meet any in my life, so I always pushed off thinking about it.

But I have been very blessed and have recently been in situations where I have interacted with celebrities of all types of mediums. From Youtubers, Olympic Athletes, and Movie Stars, I've met all different types of people in different environments.

After my fair share of lucky encounters, I've established my own code of etiquette whenever I may be approaching a celebrity. If you have your own code, that's awesome! I hope you'll share your own in the comments down below, I know I'd appreciate it!

So of course, if you're an ultimate fan girl like me, you'll internally panic for a few minutes. Once your panic has settled...

I.I think about what environment I'm in. If I'm somewhere where the person is expected to say hi to other fans, then I'm a little more confident going up to ask for a picture. If it's somewhere more common (like an airport or a Starbucks) I hesitate. There's always stories of people over stepping boundaries and being invasive. I'd rather fan girl from afar than bother them up close. When it is somewhere more common, I use my judgement and so far, I don't feel like I've bothered anyone too much.

II.I ask for someone else to take the picture. (After I've asked them if it's okay to take a picture with them to begin with) While I've heard that some celebrities prefer selfies instead of proper pictures, I know from past experience that I shake too much when meeting someone. I've sadly had very shaky selfies because I thought I'd try a selfie instead. Most people are usually really nice about posing for a picture, so if you ask them politely, they'll probably be okay with it! If you're a steady person, you do that selfie. If you're worried you'll shake like I do, ask a friend to take a picture for you!

III.I thank them for taking a picture with me. After I've asked someone to take a picture with me, I usually babble about how much I respect them, and thank them somewhere along the process. Most of the women will give hugs, but don't push any boundaries. If you're unsure, ASK! Since I'm usually a rambling fan girl right after the picture, I try to take up as little time of theirs as possible. If you're a little more confident than I am, go for a conversation! I just try to be aware if there is a line behind me, or if the celebrity is trying to go somewhere.

If you have a hard time trying to get calm enough to say words (trust me I've been there), remind yourself that they are people too. Sometimes they are just as nervous to meet you as you are to meet them! As long as you're respectful, everything will be really sweet and dandy. If you're unsure of anything, ask them!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
