Inspirational Quotes And Food That Look Like Celebrities To Get You Through Finals

Finals are the worst. There is nothing good about them. Finals do not help anyone's grades and the last week of school should be spent having grand old times with good friends, but instead they are spent in libraries with stupidly expensive books. If you are someone who "just doesn't have any hard finals" or whose teacher emailed them last minute saying no final, then buzz off because nobody wants to hear it. But for the rest of you, along with the snacks and caffeine, here are a few quotes and photos of food that look like famous people to get you through the week:

"Success is not final, failure is not fatal it is the courage to continue that counts" -Winston Churchill

"Sometimes painful things can teach us lessons that we didn't think we needed to know." -Amy Poehler

"Stupid is as stupid does." -Forrest Gump

"Whatever you are, be a good one." -Abraham Lincoln

"One day in retrospect the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful." -Sigmund Freud

"Sometimes the only way to stay sane is to go a little crazy." -Susanna Keysan

"You can never be over dressed or overeducated." -Oscar Wilde

"The best advice I've ever received is, 'no one else knows what they are doing either'" -Ricky Gervais

"Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." -Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Accept the challenges so that you can feel the exhilaration of victory."- George S. Patton

"The secret of getting ahead is getting started."-Mark Twain

"When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot in it and hang on." -Franklin D. Roosevelt

"Expect problems and eat them for breakfast." -Alfred Montapert

"By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail." -Benjamin Franklin

"If you are going through hell, keep going." -Winston Churchill

"The most effective way to do it, is to do it." -Amelia Earhart

"The secret to success in any human venture is absolute concentration." -Kurt Vonnegut Jr.

"If you fell down yesterday, stand up today." -HG Wells

"I am not a has been, I am a will-be." -Lauren Bacall

"Be so good they can't ignore you." -Steve Martin

"It's always too early to quit." -Normal Vincent Peale

"Don't give up, don't lose hope. Don't sell out." -Christopher Reeve

"Whenever you leave behind failure, you're doing good. If you think everything you've done is great, you are probably dumb." -Louis CK

Whether it's the quotes or the food vs. people, hopefully you have something getting you though this God awful week. Just remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel and that light is laying in bed watching Netflix the second you are finished with exams. Good luck, folks.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
