Summer has finally arrived in Chicago and with that has come heatwave after heatwave, unpredictable thunderstorms, and high humidity levels. Don't get me wrong though, I love having un-ending sunshine throughout the day, longer days and warmer temperatures. But, there is a fine line between a nice walk on a warm day and a full-on sweat session in clothes that will most definitely be tossed in the hamper when I return home. So when it's too hot to go outside, and I want to spend the day not doing much, I like to choose one of these following things to do.
5. Or if painting's not your thing, then do some drawing
If you don't like painting, don't have the supplies or don't want to get any, then drawing might be an option. I bet you have a pen or a few pencils laying around to use to doodle.
6. Take a nap
If you're not feeling up for doing much physical exertion, take a nap and wake up re-energized.
7. Paint your nails
If you just got a new color, then it's finally time to break it out. If you've got a collection, then try some cool nail techniques or designs. It'll take a while to research and do, so you'll be set for a few hours.
8. Play video games
No matter what you like to play, it'll be guaranteed to keep you occupied for at least a few hours.
9. Take a shower
A cold shower on a hot day is one of the best things ever. Sing your heart out while you're at it.
11. Read a new book
I'm sure your bookshelf has at least a few books you haven't yet touched, so choose one and start reading.
