Congratulations, ladies and gentlemen!
Thanksgiving Break is approaching and you have made it through your first semester of whatever year you're in. You should be proud of yourselves since the first semester is nearly coming to an end.
Take a moment and let that sync in.
I'm sure you all are looking forward to eat home-cooked meals your mom and grandma make, go Black Friday shopping, and spend time with your family and friends.
One reason why most people don't like Thanksgiving Break is that it's the last break before finals week. Nobody wants to study during Thanksgiving Break. Instead, we would all rather spend time with our family and friends and unwind from the 6 weeks to 3 months on campus. Students argue that break is meant for relaxing, not studying.
To tell the brutal truth, I'm afraid this isn't how the real world works. The good news is that there are ways to manage studying for finals during and after Thanksgiving Break. You can at least get a head start on your projects, so you won't have to worry about wasting your break by studying. You don't have to necessarily spend your entire break studying. However, you can at least clock in a few hours each day during the break.
Nobody should have to sacrifice their entire time because of finals. There is nothing wrong with enjoying your break. You must use your break as a time to rest your brain, eat some delicious food, and have fun. You just need to manage your time between studying, relaxing, and spending time with your friends and family.
Don't waste your break stressing over finals. Everything will be all right. Yes, finals are triggers to stress, I get it. You all want them over with, want to do well in all your classes, and make sure your tuition is worth it. Stressing over finals, especially during your break just isn't worth it, though. Just manage your time with studying, but don't study last minute. The best you can do is enjoy time with your family, friends, and home-cooked meals before giving one last push towards the semester.
