There have been many times where I've been down, stressed, and depressed. Through this I would often forget about what's happening around me. I would feel that life could not get any better and that I was at my lowest point. But I have made it a point that when I find myself in this state, to express my appreciation for life itself.

Gratitude is so important because it allows us to be thankful and return kindness. It's so easy to get caught up in our own lives that we forget about what's happening and the people around us. Practicing gratitude isn't easy and get's better with more time and practice. Gratitude can help us to expand our thinking about situations that may be hindering us.

Whenever I feel as if I'm in a bad situation or are not feeling my best, I now try and make it a point to think more about the situation that I'm in. What are the positives (if any)? Where is the lesson? Asking these questions have helped me a lot and have allowed me to take time and reflect.

I think that practicing gratitude can have endless positives because it's a time of self-reflection. Practicing this has made me happier, more grateful for life and its ups and downs, and sleep better. I'm more inclined to see the best out of any situation I'm in. This can be hard for a lot of people but with practice, it's honestly one of the greatest feelings.

When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
