1. I am so excited for school to start this year.

2. Actually, maybe I really do not want to go back to school.

3. I am not looking forward to doing all that homework again.

4. Plus I have a very busy schedule this year.

5. Maybe I shouldn’t go back this year.

6. But I only have one more year left before I graduate.

7. Wait just a minute…

8. I’m… I’m a senior?

9. I feel totally unprepared for this.

10. A year from now I won’t be moving into a dorm.

11. A year from now I am going to have to find a

job.

12. And I’m going to have to find somewhere to live.

13. I am supposed to be a functioning adult in just a few months.

14. I am not prepared to be a functioning adult!

15. Maybe I should just think about something else.

16. I will think about my friends.

17. I am so glad I get to live with them this year!

18. I hope we have Just Dance parties all the time.

19. Just Dance is definitely the best game ever.

20. And there are so many other fun things I can do with them this year!

21. I am sad that this will probably be the last time we live together.

22. But I know that they are always going to be there to support me.

23. I can’t wait to make memories with them this year.

24. I want to make this the best year of college ever.

25. It’s a great day to be a Judson Eagle!

Starting my senior year seems pretty daunting a lot of the time, but I also have a really good feeling about it. I know I’ve got a lot of scary challenges to face within the next year, but I want to go into them with a positive attitude. These challenges are going to help me grow into a functioning and successful adult. I’m really looking forward to that chapter in my life. Senior year and adulthood, bring it on!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
