The Church today tends to bend to vain things and to focus on pleasing men rather than God. As the Church invests its valuable time on non-eternal things, Christians start to forget the basic principles of the Bible; therefore, their Biblical convictions get replaced by shakable things. As they take their eyes out of the Word, they lose the right point of view on things, and this only causes division between the Church because everybody has a “valid” opinion on everything.
Today, the Church “googles” for answers instead of going to the Bible. Everybody has a different answer or solution for that which is already stated in the Bible. In these days where there's a button to solve most of our problems, we Christians think that it's the same with God.
God has a plan for every person in this world and He gave us the Bible as a guidance to live as He wants us to live. But nobody seems to follow His way because everybody is so busy looking for shortcuts that His way seems boring and long. This only provokes division and unlike thoughts among the Church.
"I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment"
I Corinthians 1:10
The Church should go back to the basics instead of creating their own ideas and ways. Unity strengthens the Church, giving it power to stand firm against the currents of the world. Unity prevents Christians from gossiping of other Christians, and instead lets the world know that Christians have each other’s backs.
"A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:34-35
Unity makes love grow stronger in the Church. And if the Church is united, it can stand anything.
"And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand."
Mark 3:25
But if the house is united, the house will be able to stand. But in order to be strong, we should go back to the Bible and follow His guidance. Shortcuts don't exist in His plan for our lives.
