Wonder Woman is a superhero. The princess of the Amazons, armed with powers of a god, Wonder Woman is one of Earth's most powerful defenders of peace and equality and a member of the Justice League. She is often considered and archetype for the comic book superheroine. She stands for Love, peace, and above all else, truth.
I would also like to think Wonder Woman is a leader, independent, strong, and role model to woman and girls all over. The real question is have you ever seen me and Wonder Woman in the same room? No? That my be I like to think of myself as wonder woman.
I may not need a superhero costume to be a hero.
Wonder Woman was a leader. Wonder Woman is the commanding officer in the Amazonian army, she's been raised from birth to lead, she's a master tactician, she cares about her teammates, she isn't always trying to one up her teammates, she trusts her teammates AND like Superman, her teammates trust her. In my line of work I make sure my bosses and co-works can trust me. I am willing to learn in any area I am placed. I want to be that go-to-girl they can call on when they need help. I like taking charge, I like taking lead.
Wonder Woman is independent. She is not relying on a man, and she’s not there because of a love story. She’s not there to serve someone else. She takes care of what needs to be done, when it needs done. I like to think I am independent, I work full time, go to school, pay my bills, and live pay check to pay check. I try not to ask for help unless there is no other option. I take care of myself, and couldn't be happier.
Wonder Woman is strong. She can fight and is a powerful. I may not have powers from the good but i have muscles and I am mentally strong. I control my emotions. Life hasn't been easy but I grew to let it go. I learned to be a Warrior and not let my past define who I am today.
Lastly Wonder Woman is a role model. Women and girls all over the world look up to. For girls, it was always the princess being saved. Now we have Wonder Woman – she's fearless, proactive, she believes in herself and she believes she can do everything. That's a true woman for me. Now I my not be a major role model but I got start some where even if that means just to my seven year old little sister. I want her to know she can do anything and be anything.
In the words of Wonder Woman
"It is not about what we deserve. It is about what we believe."
