Dear Finals,
I really want to apologize for how many mistakes I made. I tried as hard as I could before-hand to learn everything needed but it gets old especially when I’m dealing with four classes with all different information. I really wanted to do well, I did, but I just don’t think my brain is able to keep up with how hard you were.
And I promise it’s not just me, everyone struggles with you. How come you are also so much harder than our normal tests and quizzes? Please let me know. I have a 25 percent chance when there are multiple choice questions but how come 90% of the time I get them wrong that just doesn't sound like the right math, and math was my highest grade, so obviously you are in the wrong.
If you notice that everyone did poorly on you, don't you think you need to make a change in yourself. You're never going to get an A. You will just keep getting B's, C's and D's. People will keep cheating on you. How does that make you feel? Getting cheated on is one of the worst feelings.
Anyway, I hope you understand where I am coming from and I hope you make a change to yourself next semester. Changing can be hard, I do understand but think about all the people who you have lost because of your difficulty. You are supposed to be encouraging your students to like you and to want to take your subject matter.
But if your expectations of us are really that high, then you should consider being a more advanced class. And this is definitely not just one or two test, in fact, it's almost every test that had open-ended on it. Where did you even get those questions from? Some online source that included nothing discussed over the school year or what?
So that's that. I would, on the other hand, like to thank you for lowering my GPA. No, seriously, thank you. You are going to make me work harder than I ever have. You are going to be the reason I work on Broadway. You are going to be the reason I am successful. And you are going to be the reason I strive for perfection.
Sincerely,
Marissa Chappell
