Society today makes us believe that we have to be a certain size and shape to fit the ideal body. Women's bodies are all different and shouldn't be put into a specific box. We have to remember that everyone of any size has gone through a journey with their bodies over the years.
I'm a size 2, but...
I used to not be. Some people used to be of a different size then what we see. We shouldn't body shame someone for being larger or smaller because we don't know their story. I know exactly what it feels like, thinking that you need to "fit the mold."
I'm a size 2, but...
But I'm not always confident. Sometimes I still see my old self in the mirror. And it's hard to get out of that rut when you were there for years. Don't assume that once someone becomes their desired weight that they no longer see their past selves.
I'm a size 2, but...
I'm not perfect. I still have body fat and parts that I wish would get slimmed down. Some days the same clothes don't fit right. I will never fit the "box" and have a flat stomach. Although these are factors, I am still very proud of where I have come compared to the past.
I'm a size 2, but...
But not all size 2's fit me. All stores do NOT size the exact same way. They are there to make you feel better about yourself. Yes, sometimes a 3/4 or a 5/6 so who really knows what actual size I am?
From now on we will continue to see body sizes differ and change. But whatever the new fad maybe, remember that you are here to keep your body healthy, there should be no size to your health; you could be a size 0 or a size 14 or anything in between. Love your body and if you feel negative towards it, YOU are the only one in charge of that, so don't listen to what anyone else has to say about it.
