5 reasons you're actually a Disney princess

I'm Actually A Disney Princess

There's a defining moment in a girl's life (probably a lot of girls lives) where she'll realize that her life is all sorts of wrong. So she'll begin to think and think and think to figure out what's wrong, and that's when she'll realize her true calling: she's actually meant to be a Disney princess!

Not every girl knows from birth that she's meant to be Disney royalty. If this realization hasn't come to you yet, then don't worry, you'll figure it out soon. It's just one of those things that when it happens, you'll know. In the rarity that you, for some odd reason, don't know yet, here are few reasons to confirm that you are in fact meant to be a Disney princess.

1. The only way to show how upset you are is to dramatically throw yourself down and cry.

So, I guess one could say we're a bit dramatic. But if we were taught anything by the Disney princesses, it's that the best way to express sadness is to throw yourself down on the nearest object and sob uncontrollably. This is obviously the only way a true Disney princess expresses how upset she is.

2. You dream of a happily ever after.

If you haven't found yours yet, then you're probably either patiently or impatiently waiting for the day to come. It doesn't necessarily entail finding the love of your life (shout out the princesses who don't need a man), but you know you're happily ever after, no matter what it is, is out there somewhere.

3. You take the best naps.

Just like Aurora, you too are a "Sleeping Beauty." Absolutely nothing gets in the way of you getting in a great nap. You have a break in between classes, nap time. You're bored, nap time. You're too stressed to do anything, nap time. Some people say that 30 minutes is the ideal amount of time to take a nap, but you know you need a lot more time than that.

4. You have really great hair.

Girl, your hair game is on point! I mean, Rapunzel obviously takes the cake on this one though. But it seems like every other princess has great, gravity-defying, beautiful hair. In fact, I often find myself admiring my hair like this:

5. You randomly burst into song, anytime and anywhere.

Whether you have a good voice or not, you're still singing all the time. It's basically second nature to you to be always singing. Plus, singing makes you happy and is the cure to basically everything in your life.

Congratulations on being a Disney princess! Now, while these aren't the only defining qualities of your true royalty, there's absolutely no doubt that they're some pretty important ones. No need to ask the mirror on the wall who the fairest one of them all is because you already know it's you.

And they all lived happily ever after. The end.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
