We hear all the time about how we need to let go but what can we take away from this advice?
Well, what exactly is that supposed to mean? Aside from being easier said than done, what does it mean to let something go... let it go where?
Everyone has their own interpretation and way of extracting negative energy from their lives. Telling someone to "let it go" might mean that they stop paying attention to the situation, however, that doesn't mean they are not carrying around the negative energy with them. This can then cause stress and anxiety, negatively altering your state of mind.
The idea of "letting go" is about no longer paying attention and giving your energy towards something that is negatively affecting you -- for the benefit of YOU.
If it isn't serving you, do not pay attention to it and remove it from your life.
The relationship, the job, the friend, the place that is giving you poor customer service...eliminate it from your life.
Walking around harboring negative thoughts and negative energy does not help you--sometimes it can become so overpowering you don't even notice that you are unhappy and stuck in a poor situation that you have the power to change!
Do not forget that you have the power to change your feelings, thoughts, and surroundings. Stop paying attention to what isn't serving you and do yourself a favor...
