If you're a YouTuber like me, then you certainly understand the importance of making sure that every single video you put out is unique and sure to attract a large audience. Unfortunately, sometimes coming up with creative ideas can be extremely difficult, and we often resort to making videos that have already been done just so our subscribers will have something to watch and enjoy. In an effort to inspire you, I have created the following list of 4 creative ideas that you can use for future YouTube videos:
1. My Sibling Buys My Outfits.
You've probably already seen several different versions of this video (most likely the ones where the boyfriend buys outfits for the girlfriend or vice versa). Instead, why not put a bit of a twist on that originality by doing a version where one of your siblings gets to decide what you wear? After all, the more or less the age difference, the more unique their choices (and your reactions to those choices) will be.
2. Answering Unknown Callers As Different Characters.
I got inspired to film this video after receiving several phone calls from unknown numbers and becoming annoyed with how often they occurred. After all, what better payback to a persistent salesman or bill collector than to actually answer the phone and pretend to be a furious ex-girlfriend who suspects she's being cheated on, or an automated message system for a morgue company?
Simply type up a script, rehearse it a few times, and set up your camera so that it's ready to capture the prank as it happens. The best part is, you can be as creative with your characters as you want! Just make sure they aren't too extreme.
3. A Boyfriend's Guide To His Girlfriend's Makeup Products.
You've probably already seen several different versions of the "Boyfriend Does Girlfriend's Makeup" or "Girlfriend Does Boyfriend's Makeup" tags on YouTube. Most of the time, we're left feeling completely amused in watching the boyfriend struggle to apply makeup to his girlfriend's face. However, why not make a version of the same tag where the girlfriend actually tells her boyfriend what each of her makeup products does (while explaining how to properly use them), and then see if he can actually make a killer makeup look with whatever knowledge he retains?
4. Vlogging My Experience Being Partially Broke For A Week.
Inspired by a few of the times that I've been partially broke as a college student, I thought it might be entertaining for my subscribers to watch how I actually coped with those experiences and what I learned from them in the end. It's kind of like a survival show on television, except your subscribers would be watching you try to live a decent lifestyle with minimal cash. How entertaining! Am I right?!
Now that you've made it to the end of this list, perhaps you also have a few ideas for some potential videos that you could create for your YouTube channel in the future. Or, better yet, maybe you could even start a YouTube channel of your own and use one of these as inspiration for your very first video!
