I have been through a journey when it comes to diet. I personally do not like to call it a diet, but for learning purposes, we will call it that. I have tried every diet imaginable. I've counted calories, gone vegan, done keto, tested pescetarianism, etc. But only one diet truly worked, and I am here to tell you which one.
But first, let's go to the beginning. I have always been insecure about my body, which is totally normal, but I always looked for diets that were going to show me results fast. That was not the right way to approach things. Of course, I saw little results in every diet, but I couldn't find one that gave me everything I wanted. The lifestyle change I have made recently is the only thing that has given me "all of the above."
What was that change? Well, I started seeing a registered dietician, so I could learn more about my personal body because no one's body is equal to someone else's.
I got to know my body, and what it likes to metabolize versus what it doesn't enjoy metabolizing. What I was told was groundbreaking. My body wanted things that I was starving it from, like good carbohydrates. It wanted more water, calories, and exercise than I was giving it.
Visiting a registered dietician was the best decision I have ever made.
If you are experiencing the same thing I was experiencing, I recommend that you visit a registered dietician as well. Not only are they giving you good nutritional advice, but they will also give you great life advice.
