I Don't Want To Start Dating Again Now, But When I Do I Want My First Date To Be At Target

... Yes, I said Target. (:

I'm not necessarily hinting at anyone to take me on a first date anytime soon, (unless you're my friend... then what are you waiting for) but once I'm ready to give my time into someone again, we've got to start with a first date at Target. Why? Why not! Target is known for having a good time... as Twitter once said, "No one goes to Target because they need something. You go to target and let Target tell you what you need."

This is exactly what Target is about. I have "Target Runs" almost all the time... especially late night. It's so much fun when you and your bestie randomly just wanna hit Target at 11:00pm with nothing else better to do and grab almost nothing you really need but end up buying anyway. Just like when my aunt makes my uncle babysit the kids so she can finally get some 'Me time'... and where did she go? Target. Did her husband think she was crazy? Yes. But does she have the time of her life? Of COURSE!

Target is Target. There's almost everything and everything there, and I honestly think you can find out so much about someone because of the countless items and supplies to look at and choose from. Each department offers stories on the shelves that you can tell your bestie, or maybe you just browse and learn their likes and dislikes. Maybe this time you learn that they like a certain color or type of food. Next visit, maybe it's the kind of chips they like or the Xbox games they've always wanted to play as a kid. The possibilities are endless. Here are just a few of the best places to visit at Target.

1. Target Cafe

The first place you and your date can start at is the Starbucks Cafe which most Target locations have. That can already be such a great way to find out what their favorite drink is just in case you ever want to surprise them later on in the future (if there is a second date), find out if they like popcorn or not, see if they choose to put mustard on their hot dog or if they crave Slushees just as much as you do—little things like that.

2. Clothing Department

It wouldn't hurt to just browse around for clothes or accessories that you might like while trying to get to know each other. It would be a great way to see how he/she likes to dress, what they find attractive clothing wise or even just seeing what their favorite brands and style are.

3. Electronics

Electronic Department - Target Las Vegas

The back area is usually where all the electronic products are located. You guys may want to check out all the video games, both "way-back-when" and new one alike. You can also check out the movies they have on sale or even browse the stock of CDs they have. This is a perfect way to find out who your date's favorite artist is and why. You can talk about your favorite genres of music, who you've seen in concert so far, who you want to see still and whatever latest gossip there is going on about those artists.

4. Grocery/Food Aisles

Once you've gotten (hopefully) a vibe of who your date is, I would definitely take it to the next level. Head to where all the grocery food is. Find out if they have a healthy diet or not, what their favorite candy/chips are, whether they like Thrifty Ice Cream or Tolenti Gelato. Try to take note so (again) you can surprise them whenever you feel like giving them a gift or cheer them up when they aren't having a good day.

5. Home Decor & Furnishing

Home Furnishing - Target

This section might help you find out how "clean and organized" they are. See what they like and don't like or what they have decorated in their room. You guys could totally chill at the couch displays and chat up some more, or just look at all the furnishings and decor and see what sparks up in your conversation.

6. Makeup Area

This is more for the makeup-guru ladies. Girls, I have one piece of advice for you. Let. Him. KNOW! Show him your favorite products and brands and explain the works of things so he can know for future reference in general with anyone that knows makeup. I'm sure you glowing about how amazing makeup is will be very similar to the way he gets when you guys are in the electronics department. Also, there's more than just makeup to this... there are skin care products you guys can talk about (but see if he even is about skin care first).

Try all these things out! See what Target can do for you and your date. This date should give you a good enough glimpse of what and who this new person is and might just be for you if you continue to be attracted, interested, and ready to share a part of you with him/her. Most of all, enjoy your time and (hopefully) catch that great spark and start of something new. Good Luck (;

Xoxo,

Princess J

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
