Thursday night, 11 p.m., Comedy Central, The Daily Show with Trevor Noah:

Trevor Noah: My guest tonight is one of the leading ladies of the Pentecostal Christian Movement here in the States. With a church membership in the hundred-thousands and a weekly viewership of millions via various channels, she is the pioneer of what she calls the Obedience Gospel and I am immensely blessed to have her here to answer some questions of mine and yours. Please welcome Liza Daniels.

Sound of clapping and cheering.

Enter Liza Daniels, black full-sleeved dress that came right above her knee. In light rose colored pumps and a matching scarf, her tall slender frame was accentuated to show her toned body. With hair that came up to her shoulders, she enters smiling to a crowd that is cheering and clapping loudly for her. She and Noah greet each other as they sit. As the cheering and clapping die down…

Trevor Noah: Thank you so much for coming on my show.

Liza Daniels: Thank you so much Noah for having me here.

Trevor Noah: Please Miss. Daniels, Trevor.

Liza Daniels: And it still remains Miss. Daniels for you. You must be what my son’s age?

Laughter.

Trevor Noah: Speaking of which, how old is your son?

Liza Daniels: He’s ummm 33.

Trevor Noah: Yup. I’m his age alright.

“He’s 31 mom. Jeez, know your son’s age much?!” Nelle talks at the Television as she paces up and down the house. Justin shushing her, “She looks great.”

“She always does,” she walks towards the direction of her room at the end of the house.

Trevor Noah: So, you mention your children a lot in your sermons. What do they think about you being on this show for a change?”

Liza Daniels: Both of them were ecstatic. They are huge fans of yours.

“All lies,” Nelle mumbles to herself.

Trevor Noah: And what do they do?

Liza Daniels: Well, my son is an investment banker for JP Morgan, big guy in a big skyscraper in big city New York and my daughter does something for Yahoo. Coding I guess.

Trevor Noah: Wow… So…

“Your son is a mixed martial arts trainer by day and what I’m guessing drug peddler by night and I’m a Ph.D. student mom. Student! Coding. Ppft! Where does she get this crap from?”

Justin looking at her incredulously, “Does she not know or is she too ashamed to admit it?”

“I’m going to leave that up to your judgement Justin. I bet she rehearsed those lines. GOD!”

Trevor Noah: And so, in your sermons when you use your children as examples, what is their reaction?

Liza Daniels: Well you know Noah, I mean Trevor, I’m going say what I’ve said to my congregation millions of times. [looking at the camera] My children are atheists. They have no heart for God and the pain He suffered on that cross for them.

Trevor Noah: Which makes them the devil?

Liza Daniels: That is correct. God has given me such children in my life so that I can stand as a testimony in front of millions of pained mothers, wives and children, leading them to God through a personal route, with my own life being an example.

Trevor Noah: Right. So what is that?

Liza Daniels: That God allowed for my children to be atheists so that he could use me as His vessel to spread His message. As you know, God did not create the devil. The devil was one of His angels who fell out of grace through disobedience and landed in disgrace and hell.

Trevor Noah: Are you saying that your children fell out of grace and hence they are the devil?

Liza Daniels: Yes I am. They heard the Word of God and yet they chose to reject it. That makes them sinners and I will not have it.

Trevor Noah: Does this also mean that you don’t associate with the devil and hence you don’t talk to your children?

Liza Daniels: Yes. I mean no. Yes, I don’t associate with the devil but that does not mean I’m not their mother. I’m still their mother, just not their mentor.

Clapping.

“Seriously? Seriously? Great going mom.”

“Your mom is nailing it. She should become an entertainer, a minist-ainer.” Quips Justin looking at Neele big-eyed.

Trevor Noah: How does it feel to stand in front of thousands of people Sunday after Sunday and preach, with millions more watching via various media channels?

Liza Daniels: I must admit Trevor, that it is no easy job. I do this only because of the immense grace of God upon me. So honestly, thousands, or one, doesn’t matter to me. His strength upon me is all that matters.

Trevor Noah: But didn’t you shut down your previous church only because you had 10 regular members.

StableDiffusion

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
