Have you ever become friends with someone you never expected to?

When we first met back at tech school in 2009, I never would have thought that we would be as close as we are now, I never though that I would call you my best friend. When we were younger, we talked here and now in class and had Skype sessions and what not, but I didn’t know you would mean as much to me as you mean now.

Growing up through school, I have had so many "friends" walk in and out of my life; I was starting to get use to the fact of not having close friends. From the day I met you, I always knew you were a sweetheart and from that day on, I knew I had to have you as a friend. Throughout the years of talking, you have grown on me in so many ways. With you everything is different and I feel like I can be 100% open and honest, and not be judged. I know I can talk to you about anything, I never felt like I could open up to someone, the way I open up to you. You have been the one person who has always stayed true to me, regardless of what I put you through. I don’t think that I have ever questioned our friendship or honesty because I have never had a reason to.

I want you to know how proud I am of you, you have been through hell and back and you are still here and you are one person I truly look up to. You are one person I know that wont give up until you accomplish what you set your mind to. I see so much potential in you and I wish you would see that as well. You are the biggest sweetheart ever and you mean the absolute world to me. You have taught me to be strong and not give up, even when I wanted to. People look at me and ask how we can be so close and not be in a relationship- it confuses them. The truth is, I don't know how it happened, but you have become one of the most important people in my life and I am glad you have.

We have had so many fun times together, from our skype sessions when we were in high school, gym class and all the memories we are creating together as adults, they are all my favorite memories, and I’m glad I’m creating them with you. I truly enjoy every second of our friendship. Thank you for always being honest with me, and for teaching me to tough it out and how to love every part of life. I know I am a pain in the ass at time, but I thank you for being here for me through thick and thin. You have to deal with all my complaining, my attitude, my sarcasm and most of all, me. I don’t know how you do it, but I am forever grateful that you do. I know being here for me probably isn’t easy, but I appreciate you more then you know. You are my person;. I consider you my best friend, I love you to the moon and back!
