I Used Faith To Get Me Through, And Without It, I May Not Have Made It

We all have different faith and beliefs and rituals that we turn to.

In the past few years, I have learned that it is very important to have faith and lean on something that is much higher than yourself. My faith and belief in God have taught me a lot about myself and others around me, as not everyone is in your corner.

As someone who was diagnosed with a disability and not expected to go too far in life, God has been really good to me and he has blessed me in ways that I could not have imagined, and because of my faith, my confidence has gained significantly.

I have been taught plenty of lessons as I have been continuing my walk and growing spiritually.

Throughout the years, a few scriptures have been my lifeline, one scripture that has been my lifeline was Phil. 4:13,

"For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength."

This has been my number one lifeline for the simple fact that life is always filled with challenges, and I have always been doubted as far as my capabilities go, and I had to use that scripture as a reminder, if you will, to say that I can do anything that I put my mind to.

My second life scripture is a scripture that I must remind myself of often because I do forget at times and allow my fear to take over and that is Rom. 8:37,

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us."

In the last couple of weeks, I have had some changes that impacted my everyday life, thankfully nothing physically debilitating, but certainly mentally, and I had to know that whatever comes my way, I can definitely conquer it with God on my side.

My third life scripture is a scripture that reminds me who I am in Christ, I Peter 2:9,

"But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for he called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light."

This scripture simply means that you have to let your light shine and show everyone that you have been changed by God and believe that you have been changed. Too many times believers, myself included, forget that you have been changed by God, and have to be an example of that change.

We are called to be ambassadors for Christ, and we are all called to be more Christ than what we give ourselves credit for sometimes, and that comes with an increase in self-esteem and confidence.

We all have different faith and beliefs and rituals that we turn to. I wanted to share how my faith gets me through and how I access my faith.

I am not ashamed to share my faith as I personally feel that if it was not for my faith, I would have lost my mind or turned to something that I may not be able to escape for a long time.

I am grateful to have my faith and the faith of people around me who encourage me and cheer me on, and I hope that I can continue to make strides towards a better future.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
