Life is all about listening to your heart and creating who you want to be.

Throughout life, people often mention a term that I have grown to despise about "finding yourself." I believe that life is about CREATING yourself. Surely you can spend every moment obsessing about who you are right now and your previous life experiences that led you to be that person but wouldn't life be more fulfilling if you focused on creating the person you actually want to be.

Maybe, there are people that honestly do not know who they are but that doesn't mean you have to spend every moment just waiting to find out who you are, by doing that you lose the person that you are meant to be. Who you are, is who you want to be. There really is nothing stopping you, other than yourself.

There are many life influences that strive to define who we are but we always carry the cards. The control is within ourselves to let go and embrace it. It's also been told many times that you're happiest when your truest and most authentic self.

Listen to your gut instincts and that voice inside you to help create who you are as a person. Even if you reach times of your life that are discouraging, you can always find a way to overcome the battle you might be facing.

The most important detail to creating who you want to be is to focus on your passions and what your heart desires. Naturally, we know our personality traits, and we know the type of people that we want to spend time with, so it's smart to use your friends to help discover who you want to be.

Even if you are miserable, you are never stuck, you can change at any time. Creating yourself is all about learning and exploring what makes us unique and how to use that individuality for the greater good. Sometimes that means letting go and not caring so much what everyone thinks about you because those are the types of worries that destroy who we are meant to be.

Most people have role models that have had an influence on them as children or maybe even as an adult. It's great to appreciate traits of others but, you should not aspire to be anyone other than who you are right now.

I've found over the years that it's easy to feel we have to do whatever everyone else is doing but it's such a silly thing to worry so much about fitting in with society. Leaders are always people that don't fit because they hold characteristics that are special to them and respectable. Regardless of what other people think, being different is cool, and that's why it shocks people.

Listen to your heart, be your beautiful self, and leave a mark in the world in a way that only you can.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
