They approach us every year. Trust me, the more they occur, the harder they get. In spite of finals, I thought I would create a list, with the help of my roommates and college friends of course, with tips and tricks to survive finals. Through the late night studying, the all-nighters trying to write a paper, and just the general stress that comes along with finals, it's important to remember to take a step back, breath and give yourself some self-motivation.

The Ultimate Guide to Finals.

To a college student, from college students

1. Take breaks, make some holiday cookies or watch Sex and the City.

2. Make a detailed schedule of everything you need to do during finals week, and as an added bonus, make it color coordinated.

3. Set study breaks, and stick to them

4. It can be easy to get swept up by the loads and loads of homework, but sleep is more important than those long hours. It's important to let yourself stop typing, stop memorizing and sleep.

5. Change your scenery. Find a cute coffee house or if it's nice outside, a park, and study outside.

6. It's okay to watch Netflix, maybe don't start a new series, but don't feel guilty watching one or two episodes of your favorite show.

7. Coffee. I am biased about this one, but I think it's a life saver, especially during those late nights.

8. Coloring isn't just for toddlers, make time to doodle and procrastinate a little. Every college student needs a short moment of nostalgia.

9. Call your parents, they always know what to say to calm you down or give you some positive encouragement. I won't say it's their job, but it is.

10. And lastly, make time to laugh with your roommates. Laugh at silly things, have two-minute dance parties and pat each other on the back. You're all in this together.

And to end, here is one of my favorite quotes to get me through stressful times. "Don't watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going." -Sam Levenson

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
