As a college student, it is a struggle when you are obsessed with makeup because you want to save money on other things that are "more important" than makeup. For others who love to use makeup but do not want to pay more than $50 on makeup altogether, I have decided to compile a list of my favorite drugstore makeup products that I use every day.

Maybelline "Blushed Nudes" ($10): First, I start with Maybelline's eye shadow palette, "Blushed Nudes". I also have the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and I honestly enjoy using this eye shadow palette more than the Naked 2 palette because I find that this palette is more pigmented than the Naked 2 palette. I can create more subtle but dramatic smokey eye looks with the Blushed Nudes palette than the Naked 2.

How I use the palette (My Routine)

If you flip over the palette, on the back is an image for beginners on how you can create looks from this palette. The palette can be used in quads (each square). I switch each day from the first and third squares (quad). The first square, I will use the lower left shade as the base, the upper right shade as the highlight (use towards the inner eye), the upper left shade under my eyebrows, and the lower right shade in the crease to create a natural smokey eye. As for the third square, I apply each shade as I would with the first square. I will also use the darkest shade in the palette in the outer corners of my eyes to connect both eyeliners from top to bottom

Maybelline "Ultra Liner" ($6)

Next, I like to use this liquid eyeliner because it will hold all day. How I do my liquid eyeliner is a different story because it is basically a watered down version of a cat eye.

L'Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga ($7)

This is my favorite mascara to use because it makes my small eyelashes look full without it making my eyelashes look "spidery". I only apply this mascara to my eyelashes twice after I have curled my eyelashes (which you can purchase at the drugstore as well). Overall, this makeup product is one of my favorites to use!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation ($7)

I was impressed with how long this foundation stayed on throughout the entire day. I sometimes work at a butterfly garden where the temperatures can get up to 85 degrees. This foundation stayed on while I was at work. I highly recommend this foundation because of the coverage it holds for extended periods of time.

Maybelline Master Hi-Light Blush in Pink Rose ($10)

This is what I use as the finishing touch to my look. I use a blush brush and apply it to the apple of my cheeks. I love this shade because of the hidden hues (gold) that you do not get to see in other blushes.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
