The word is out. The crowds are roaring. The crew is on their way. It's College GameDay, JMU style. Not only has James Madison University been able to experience this once before, but now we are able to experience it again, which is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Don't let this chance of making memories, getting your possible moment of fame, and making a complete fool out of yourself go to waste.

So take these 5 tips and make the most of your College GameDay Experience.

1. Gather your "groupies"

Call your best kind of friends, the ones who will soak up this experience with you and the ones who will have no regrets. Definitely make sure you like these people because you are going to be spending A LOT of time with them, and the last thing you want ruining your GameDay experience is friend drama.

2. Attend as much of the sponsored events as possible...

Again, this is a once. In. A. Lifetime. Opportunity!!! These memories you make could be some of the best of your lifetime. Hearing from other's experiences, they have told me to soak up the experience as much as possible. I mean I'm not saying to go as far as missing your classes, but I mean if your professors don't take attendance... one missed class won't hurt, right?

3. ...even if that means camping out.

Okay, the idea of camping our on the quad for almost 24 hours sounds insane, I know I know. But insane and liberating? You aren't living your College GameDay experience to the fullest if you don't camp out and try to get a spot in the pit, am I right? So gather those awesome friends I mentioned earlier and grab some snacks, blankets, coffee (because let's be real, are you actually going to sleep?), and your determination and complete the campout.

4. Go to the actual game.

I totally understand how sometimes we can get lost in the hype of all the pregame College GameDay fun and forget about the actual game itself. But my best advice to you is to actually go to the game. Tickets are sold out and people are scavenging for them, so if you were able to snag one in time, use it! After all, College GameDay came for our football team might as well support them too!

5. Know its completely allowed to make a fool out of yourself.

If you've taken my previous advice and already made the commitment to camp out, then you're on your way to checking this one off the list too. Make the silliest, craziest posters that will attract attention (I mean, after all, aren't we all secretly hoping for our second of fame on TV). Bleed JMU's colors and pride and have some fun while you're at it.

So what are you waiting for? Embrace the purple and gold, call your friends and get started on making the best memories with College GameDay.

Most importantly, Go Dukes!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
