To My High School Girls Who Will Find ThemselvesĀ This Year

To my high school girls

Some of you are starting high school, have been in high school, or are about to graduate high school. The feeling of being a high school student thrills you doesn't it? High school is full of drama, heartbreaks, wild nights, good and bad days.

Drama in high school is the absolute worst. Those friends you've had throughout elementary and middle school, you'll those some of those friends and you'll still be friends will most of them throughout high school. Drama in high school can either make you cry or can sometimes bring the worst out of you. The drama is irrelevant. What is the point of arguing with someone over something so pointless? In high school, live a drama free life. Ignore the irrelevant rude comments. Simply let stuff go.

Most of you probably reading this have been lying in your bed before crying over a boy. I have too. In high school you are either in love, hoeing around, friends with benefits, or a girl who doesn't even care to have a boyfriend. But our hearts as girls break way too easily over a stupid boy. Love sucks especially at a young age, well maybe even when your older it will suck too, but you'll find that out later. When you're heartbroken remember that it won't last forever unless you allow it to. Heart-breaks are temporary. You will grow in so many beautiful ways. Never lose your worth or yourself over a heartbreak.

Now, this is where high school kicks in. Those wild nights will always be memorable, so go have fun and live a little. High school is the best time of your life if you make it the best time of your life. Everyone is different, so find your people who fit you. Having wild nights in high school can make you change for the better or for the worse. Some people cling to those wild nights in high school but don't do that. Go have fun and live it up, but always remember to have fun but still take care of business.

Those good and bad days during high school can really shape a person. High School is where you live life and find yourself. You are young and sometimes good things happen and also bad things. Trouble will follow you anywhere, you just have to be smart enough to sneak it out and avoid it. Bad things will happen, you just have to grow from them, so good things can start to happen.

To my high school girls, go live your life. You will enjoy high school. Yes, you'll cry and hurt sometimes, but that is life. Never give up on yourself. You are smart and powerful. Use your powerful abilities to make a difference.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
