I can be a pretty social person here at college, and a very active one also. I'm in marching band, I'm in classes, I do University Dance Alliance on Wednesdays, I go to sectionals, I eat dinner with friends, I got homework, I got to write for this, et cetera. So it would be safe to say, I would want a day to myself where I don't have to do work and such. That's what I sometimes do on Sundays.
Remember how Sunday used to be the day of rest? That's what I try to do every weekend, especially after a game day on Saturday. So here are a couple of things I like to do on off days.
1. Catch up on sleep.
Because...why not?
2. Text family members.
Mostly my mom. Please refer to the 11 texts we send to our mothers. Sorry not sorry, mom.
3. Look at pictures at corgis.
Corgis are just beautiful dogs I can't even.
4. Read.
Whether it would be just regular books or my notes because why not my notes it's good to keep up on my classes.
5. Watch YouTube videos.
I'm currently obsessed with the Crash Course Mythology series.
6. Write.
I mean, if I don't have a paper to work on I can work on editing my current novel I wrote.
7. Walk around campus.
It's good to get some fresh air, especially with living in a dorm without air conditioning.
8. Watch Netflix.
I just watched the movie Heathers the other week and just started watching Voltron Legendary Defender and I'm not ashamed that I finished the entire first season in one day.
9. Do random research.
I learned that Anubis, the Egyptian God of mummification, had a female counterpart and a daughter that was the serpent goddess.
10. Plan for the week ahead.
Keeping myself on my toes.
11. Figure out my next Odyssey article.
So I guess I better start figuring that out now...
