Once you graduate high school you have three more summers until you have to be a more responsible adult and slowly enter the real world. The last three summers are ones to not take for granted.
From the ending of freshman year to the beginning of senior year is a time filled with adventures, trying new things, and learning in hands-on experiences. Whether you're graduating high school or starting your first college summer, here's a little heads up on how to make the most of it.
Summer One:
This is a great time to take advantage of a fun summer nanny-ing some kiddos and enjoying a few free months of summer assignments like you had in high school. This summer is the first back from your year away from home and the chance to recognize how important family is and reach out to old friends for reconnecting.
Summer Two:
This summer is used for starting internships or taking advantage of shortened class sessions and taking summer courses. Speaking from experience, getting six credits over with lifts weight off your shoulders that you will come to recognize in future semesters.
This summer can also be filled with trying new things, getting out of your comfort zone and traveling to see your friends from other cities for a small road trip.
Summer Three:
The last summer you have before graduating (four-year-undergrad) is one that can be filled with studying abroad and another internship. It’s a great way to have a little more fun before starting a full time job and also use the time to finish up a few more credit hours and experience other country’s school’s systems. Make the most of your last full break.
