Often times we find ourselves facing one obstacle after another, and we soon began to slowly give in and let those troubles get the best of us. Our faith starts to stumble, the happiness fades, and sometimes we even reach our breaking point. But there is always a better and brighter side, and our troubles never last forever. Here are some ways to look past the struggles and keep a positive outlook.
1. Pray: Sometimes all we have to do is take a moment and reach out to God. Simply tell Him thank you and ask him for guidance. Prayer does work. Consistency and Patience are key.
2. Positive Mindset: Your thoughts will dictate your actions and your outlook. Although things seem tough, they could always be worse. There's always a brighter side. Just remember, in order to get the rainbow you have to put up with the rain. Think positive and try to keep an optimistic view on life.
3. Smile & Laugh: There is no better feeling than smiling so hard that your mouth hurts and laughing so much that you cry. Nothing in this world should be able to take all of your joy. Laughing is good for the soul. Make your soul happy.
4. Enjoy the simple things: Sometimes we need to take life in small pieces and enjoy it step by step. Have a good enriching conversation, eat a juicy burger, go for a run, take a late night car ride. It's the simple things that matter the most and what keep us intact.
5. Be a light: If you can't find happiness, create it. Make someone's day. A lot of times we become so consumed with our own lives and forget that it is not about us, but about the people we impact. Go make someone smile. Develop friendships. Be a light.
6. Be thankful: Be thankful for the struggles in your life. How we deal with those obstacles is the defining point. They will either make us or break us. In order to grow as a person trials are a must so that in the end we may come out stronger than ever. Tough times don't last, tough people, do.
7. Purpose: Lastly, discover what your purpose is for your life. You should never go through life without a purpose. Stay consistent, build on it, and watch God work.
