If you know me, you know that I am a jealous person. I can be jealous in my friendships as well as in my romantic relationships. I definitely have learned to identify this jealous behavior and actions and correct them more than I used to in the future. Here are tips on how to get over that gigantic green monster otherwise known as jealousy.
1. Put trust in the people in your life.
You don't know for a fact that they're going to hurt you so enjoy the time with them instead of focusing on the negatives.
2. Focus on the positives.
If you have a positive outlook on life, everything will be better.
3. Have open and honest communication with the people in your life.
Make sure people in your life know how you are feeling so that they can maybe reassure you on things that you may not be sure about.
4. Take a step back from the situation.
Make sure you think about how you're going to react before you do something you're going to regret.
5. Know your worth.
Know that you are enough and that you are worthy of all things.
6. Don't fixate on situations.
Go out and have fun rather than be consumed as to what other people in your life are doing.
7. Realize that situations are two-way streets.
Just because some girl down the block keeps trying to talk to your boyfriend about how she misses spending snow days with him and tells him how good he looks doesn't mean that he will leave you for the easy piece of the week.
