1. Go to the vineyards.

This is the factory at the Herdade do Esporão vineyard where the grapes go through multiple processes before becoming wine. At this facility, they focus on red, but white wines are made here as well.
2. Horse-back riding.

The São Lourenço do Barrocal five-star hotel in Monsaraz has horseback riding. I went riding through open farmland and vineyards. I was allowed to ride off course and I even saw wild horses.
3. The small towns.

There is an amazing small town in the hills of Monsaraz with old ruins, shops and tapas bars. The views are jaw dropping and it's the perfect place to take photos.
4. Travel up the coast.

Head up the coast Cascais, a boujee beach town off the coast. There are so many beautiful views with great shopping and fish.
5. See the architecture.

Sintra is a beach town in between Cascais and Lisbon that has a famous National Palace with incredible 19th century Romanticism styled architecture
6. Try local food.

I recommended grabbing the famous Portuguese pastry at Pastéis de Belém in Lisbon. There is usually a line around the block but it is definitely worth it.
7. The Belém Tower.

On the way to Lisbon there is a beautiful castle on the water called the Belém Tower where tourists take photos and watch street performers. There are also vendors here selling food, sunglasses and jewelry.
8. Take a cable car.

Go visit the city of Lisbon and hop on a cable car. It is the San Francisco of Europe with so many hills. There are tons of bars and restaurants to go visit.
