How To Get Over Him

A break up is one of the worst pains anyone can experience. I've helped my friends get through multiple heartbreaks, and luckily, I'm feeling generous so I am going to share my knowledge with you! First thing's first: when a man breaks your heart without even looking back, you should never again give him the time of day. No matter how much you miss him, you always need to remember your self-worth. He doesn't deserve you, and until he bends over backwards to prove to you how sorry he is, he never will be deserving of you again. Also, before we go any further, you need to clear your mind of him. Whatever you're doing, don't think of him at all. If you find yourself thinking about him just distract yourself, pick up your phone or read a good book to get your mind off of him. Now, all you need is three nights to get over a terrible heartache.

The first night you have to spend alone. This is your night to be upset. You're going to be extremely upset, so spend that night crying, screaming, whatever you have to do to make it feel better. If a few plates end up shattered, then pick up the pieces and carry yourself into bed. Do whatever you have to do, but make sure you do it all because the first night will be your only night to wallow around in your sorrows.

The second night should be spent with your best girlfriends. Turn off your phone for a night, get all dressed up, and go out and just have fun! Let loose and go absolutely crazy because your best friends are the ones who won't judge you for it.

Now onto the third night. This may sound a little out there, but you should spend the third night with a close guy friend, or maybe a new guy that you are interested in. The only reason you are so hung up on this guy that broke your heart is because you think you may not be able to find anyone better. I promise you the right guy is out there somewhere, you just need to go out and find him. How do you expect to find your soul mate if you're moping around everywhere all the time?

So, instead of sitting around thinking about how your heart was just shattered, wondering how you're going to get through it all, take three days to get everything together. Take three days to get your mind and heart straight, and always remember that everything will be alright in the end!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
