Tanks Blitz
World of Tanks is a massively multiplayer online game developed by Wargaming back in 2010 and was an instant hit that has now become so big. This 20th-century combat vehicle war game has a huge fan base and active players and of course the best part, it is free to play. The next big entry in the franchise was 4 years later in 2014 called World of Tanks: Blitz which took mobile gaming to a whole new level and people just can’t get enough of these masterpieces.
There have been a number of comparisons between both the games over the years but now that we are hitting the end of 2021, I think these titles are due a quick comparison for those who are still sitting on fence for this game.
What Sets Apart Both of These Games?
World of tank: Blitz is basically the pocket version of the original WOT game which is why Blitz is much more focused on being about a game you could play on your cellphone which has its perks as well as cons. Blitz has a lesser variety of vehicles than WOT but still offers a wide range when we are talking from a more mobile perspective. Another major difference is about the game structure as a whole, matches are much shorter with a lower number of players while it still delivers very intense matches which are loved by a huge number of people all around the world.
Another prominent change is of course in the UI, the HUD is much cleaner and simpler as the developers say which is quite true. The developers have done a great job in trying to simplify the game while making it as versatile and fresh as the original PC version of it.
Blitz being a mobile version is a little slower than WOT which is definitely a plus point here. The players are more comfortable and the game is not so hard to master, unlike the PC version unless you get World of Tanks boosting, as slower gameplay allows the players to focus on all aspects of the game while using touch. The developers were again successful in deciding to make the matches a little smaller on smaller maps as this kind of gameplay fits the mobile gaming concept perfectly well.
Another great thing about this game as a whole is the developers are very responsive to what players say about the game, a lot of the improvements have come from reviews and comments by the players and the game keeps seeing new features and updates regularly which keeps it quite fresh and playable.
Which One Should You Play?
Even though it’s two games from a single franchise, both the games are quite unique in their own way. For PC gamers who love an intense fast-paced battle, packed with foes to destroy the original game is an ideal choice while those who love a comfortable game to play and master while being always on the go, Blitz is quite a game and it definitely got a hell of a charm for a mobile game, to be honest.
So, it’s not a question of which one is better than the other here, but actually what type of gameplay do you prefer over the other that sets these two titles apart. If you haven’t really been in touch with war games like this before in your life, I would suggest you start with the World of Tanks Blitzaccount. It will set you right in with ease without overwhelming you with all the chaos. From there on, you can make even make the jump to World of Tanks PC for change of pace and difficulty.
