I hope my mother knows...
I hope my mom knows how much I think about her.
Day in and day out you're on my mind of things I wish you were there for or things I know you would say. I think about your advice and how it applies at that moment and about your reaction when I tell you things that happened. You may not be there in physicality, but you have ensured that you are always with me.
I hope she knows that I couldn't do this without her.
I call you six out of the seven days in a week because sometimes I need a reminder of the advice you gave me before. Sometimes I just need to rant for five minutes, and sometimes I just need to hear your voice. You listen to me cry and agree when I think people are being stupid. You let me be mad when I just want to be mad, and you make me laugh whenever I really need it. I would be a train wreck if you hadn't been there all the times your phone rang.
I hope she knows how much I brag about her.
Let's be honest, you're pretty cool. And I want everyone to know it. I want all of my friends to know how awesome you are and how much you mean to me. I tell them all of the fun things we have done together, I tell them all of the funny things you say, and how you are my friends' friend just as much as you are mine. I want others to be jealous that I have a mom like you.
I hope my mom knows how beautiful she is.
You are beautiful, Mom. Inside and out in every way possible. You do everything for the people you care about even though it's not easy sometimes. You have a smile and a laugh that is contagious to all of those around you, especially me. You give so much, and you love so much and you mean so much to a lot of people.
I hope she knows that I hope to be like her one day.
I have looked up to you since I was little. I know that we have had our issues, our fights, and our disagreements, but those are bound to happen when you have two strong people in one household. You created this strong person in me. You are the reason that I have made it this far and you have transferred all of the great things you do unto me. I am so grateful for that. I see you now, and I hope to be half the mother you are someday.
I love you, Mom. And I hope you know that.
