We are less than a week away now. Before going to California for a little vacation to stay with my boyfriend (and go to the beach of course), I am flying home to Saint Louis. It's been two months since I've been home and I am so excited to just relax and spend time with my family before flying across the country all over again. These are a few things I'm looking forward to and that are keeping me motivated as I study for all of my midterms this week.
1. Sleep
Literally anywhere, at any time. Just give me somewhere to be horizontal or at least mostly horizontal and I will be there, asleep. I am most excited for my full bed in my own bedroom.
2. Eat non-Spit food
Yes this means no turkey burgers or grilled chicken wraps or stir fry for a whole week. I love you Spit but we need a break. My mom is going to pull out some of my faves this break: salmon, spaghetti casserole, chicken piccata. Not to mention all my favorite restaurants we will be dining out at.
3. Watch a ton of movies
I love movies and I miss watching them with my family. I will for sure find some new ones we can watch over break because I never have time to sit down for 2 hours here at school to watch one on my own. On my list: Crazy Rich Asians, A Quiet Place, Thoroughbreds.
4. Shower...without my shoes on. Maybe take a bubble bath too.
This is one of my favorite things of all time to do when I'm home. I shower twice a day sometimes because it is just such a nice break from dorm showers. I also love taking bubble baths when I'm home because it is nice and relaxing; you also cannot do this at school so why not try it when you're home? I like to set up my laptop close by so I can watch my newest show or read a book carefully above the tub. Current show and book: Jane the Virgin (can't stop watching) and The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon.
5. Hug my mom
Because I haven't been able to in two whole months :)
