The last pages of your blue books are finally closed and turned in with ink smudged all over them. Your car is packed with at least three weeks of clothes, plus some because of these wildly warm temperatures. You head home feeling relieved, excited, and exhausted. All the hours spent in the library are completed and rewarded with going home and resting for a few weeks. You had forgotten it was even the holiday season because your nose was so far into your books. You arrive home with under 10 days until Christmas Day. But T-God you are finally with the fam, lying around near the Christmas tree. There are a few things that everyone is guaranteed to do over break.
Drive around to see Christmas lights. Whether it's simply driving around a few neighborhoods in your town, or going into the country to see a home that has a radio-light display show -- they are all a blast to go see.
You are bound to have to battle traffic and the mall... Both very dreadful things to endure, but buck up and deal with it. Remember that everyone is just trying to enjoy their holidays too.
And say goodbye to your weight loss progress; Christmas is full of non-stop treats and food in general.
The most important thing to do over these few days at home is to enjoy the time with your family. Relax and take time off from stressing yourself out. Breathe and indulge in this break.
You'll probably play a card game or two, or 38.
You'll probably watch some basketball.
You'll probably take plenty of naps.
And you'll probably love every minute of it.
Happy holidays! #blessed
