Buying my best friends presents is honestly one of my favorite parts of Christmas - it's great to get your friends something they would never get themselves and something they would never expect. All friendships eventually get to the point where you pick out your gifts and the other one just buys it, but there's nothing wrong with getting them a surprise gift they would never expect. Having trouble deciding? Look no further - I have arranged a mini gift guide to help steer you in the right direction, based on your bestie's interests!

For the Makeup Lover

Some of the best sales of high-end makeup occur around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but if you missed those sales, Target and Ulta have some great gift sets, ranging from Brushes to ELF blush and shadow kits. If she is more of a lover of body and skin care, soap&glory and other brands offer similar kits, and Bath & Body Works is known for their Holiday scents and kits of shower gels, body creams, exfoliators, and more. They similarly offer sales all month long for December, and if you sign up with them you will usually get exclusive coupons through the mail or through your email. Websites often have sales well into the month of December, especially if they are releasing new Holiday themed merch - it's best to keep an eye on what your bestie's fave brands are, then check out the brands' Instagrams. They will usually post their stories on when their next sales will be. If you aren't sure what she likes, liquid lipsticks in her perfect nude or a neutral eyeshadow palette would be a great start!

For the Homebody

If your best friend prefers to stay home and watch movies or her fave tv show over going out and getting dolled up, then get her an electric blanket! She will appreciate the extra warmth in the winter months. You can get one for $20.00 at Target. If you prefer to get her smaller gifts, make her a small package of an array of snacks, socks, and earbuds. Better yet, get her a couple gift cards to Hulu and Netflix if you are willing and able to drop the cash to help her out with her subscription for a couple months. A comfy set of PJs, slippers, or a robe would also be a great gift. If she likes to pamper herself while she is binge watching her favorite shows, get her some nail polishes, face masks, or hair masks.

For the Traveler

If your friend likes to travel or has to for school, then Target is offering a ton of travel supplies as gifts and stocking stuffers - they have heart shaped mini makeup bags, brush bags, tags for luggage, fluffy eye masks, and more - you can get her a whole matching set so she gets a refreshed traveling kit! Other gifts like a mini makeup bag stuffed with her favorite essentials, a new charger or a portable phone charger, a cute notebook to keep her notes in, and the like would also be great for travelers. Making her life easier as she travels is a great gift, and she will appreciate the thought you put into your choices!

For the Video Gamer

If your friend loves video games, get her a gift card to game stop, or buy her a game you know she's been vying after. If she has a console, get her a card to pay for a subscription for online gaming access. Not sure what game to get her, or which one she doesn't have? Then get her a t-shirt of her favorite characters. If your friend loves merch, this opens up a whole new door of presents: you can get her laptop stickers, buttons, patches, t-shirts, mugs, sweaters, blankets, and just about anything else. Check out redbubble.com for ideas!

For the Music Lover

Your bestie love music? Get her iTunes or Spotify gift cards, new earphones, or a record player and a couple records if you are willing to splurge. If she likes CDs for her car, stock up on some of her favorite artists, or get her cords so she can connect her phone. Amazon also has some great working portable speakers, in case she enjoys listening to music on the go, or while she's cleaning or studying.

And there you have it! If your best friend's interests weren't mentioned here, drop them in the comments below and I will make another gift guide soon. Happy shopping!

The Thanksgiving season is a time we spend with our loved ones giving thanks for the blessings we are given. Here are 20 Bible verses that remind us of what Thanksgiving is all about:

1) 1 Chronicles 16:34

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

2) Colossians 3:15-17

And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

3) Philippians 4:6

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

4) Psalm 30:12

That my glory may sing your praise and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!

5) Isaiah 12:4-5

And you will say in that day: “Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted. “Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.

6) Hebrews 12:28-29

Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire.

7) Jonah 2:9

But I will sacrifice to You With the voice of thanksgiving. That which I have vowed I will pay Salvation is from the Lord."

8) 1 Timothy 4:4-5

For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected, if it is received with gratitude; for it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer.

9) Psalm 28:7

The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart exults, And with my song I shall thank Him.

10) Psalm 100:4

Enter His gates with thanksgiving, And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him; bless His name.

How Starting Your Journey Is Half Of The Battle

"You can start your journey any day at anytime."

Not that long ago, I wrote an article about a little phrase I heard on my friend's snapchat story. It got a tone of views and a lot of great feedback. And just in time for the beginning of the new school semester, he said something else that just kind of stuck with me.

He said that you can start your journey any day, at any time.

Okay so we've all heard this before but have any of us actually taken the time to put that saying into action? Well, quite recently I have. I used to be the type of person who waited until last minute to do everything, whether it was homework, a workout plan or whatever I wanted to accomplish. I used to be the type of person who said that at whatever time I'll start my homework and if it was a minute past that time I would have to wait to the start of the new hour....yes like the meme.

But now, ever since I heard that quote, it's been replaying in my head on a loop. Which is why I now just do things at the moment they're thought of and not a certain time. I decided that this is the semester, I don't wait until the last minute to do all of my work, and so far it's going well. I decided that this is the perfect time to get in shape, and not wait until the New Year, because I'm the skinniest most out of shape person that I know. I decided that instead of waiting until the new year to eat healthier that I'm going to do it now.

For a while I have wanted to get back into dance. I kept saying that I'll sign up for classes again when I finish school. But instead I decided to do it now, registered for a ballet class at school and signed up for ballroom dance, and it hands down has been one of the best decisions I have made.

Honestly it's been weird not having a set start date and time for certain things, but why would I put off doing something that I want to do? What I will say though, is that not procrastinating on homework has made these first couple of weeks of the semester fly by and seem like a breeze.

Just by letting go of the idea that every thing needs to have a set start date and time and a set date and time to end has made the pressure of things go away. By just starting my journey for whatever I'm doing right now, has increased my happiness and my overall productivity of what I'm doing.

So a little word of advice just go for and just do whatever you want to do right now.
