When You Hold My Hand, Do You Want To Hold My Heart?

If you are interested in pursuing any kind of relationship with me, I have a few questions and there are things you should know. You may be looking for someone to goof around with, have fun with and have someone to show off, someone to call yours. While that is all great to have, there is more to a relationship if you want it to last. I am not the type of girl to go around and date whoever I want for a short period of time and move on. I'm looking to date someone for the real deal. Date to marry, not to mess around, so if you think I'm the type of girl you can mess around with keep walking.

Are you just looking for a little fun, someone to keep you entertained and keep you on your toes? Or are you looking for a serious relationship? Do you want a girlfriend, or do you want a wife?

I know what I want in a relationship, I know the type of girl I am and that is the girl that you marry, the girl you want to keep around for a while. I'm not going to play your games or chase you down, and I need someone who is serious and wants the same things.

Just because I want something real does not mean I can't have fun. I will go on adventures with you, laugh with you until we cry and stay up with you all hours of the night.

Will you respect me, or will you use me? Do you genuinely want to get to know me? Will you truly care about me?

When you decide to pursue a relationship with me, think about what you want in the long run because I am not here to mess around or play games, I am in it for the long haul, are you?

I don't want to invest everything I have into a relationship just to get my heart shattered. I'm not going to open up, make myself vulnerable just to get my heart broken and left alone to clean up the mess. I will never let anyone do that to me again, I will never do that to myself again.

So, I'm asking you when you hold my hand, when you ask me to stand by your side when you ask to date me will you protect me, will you protect my heart?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time.
