From the top, you see it all.
The infinite view of the horizon. Land that goes for miles. Trees that seem to engulf the world.
There are no words grand enough to fully describe the adrenaline one thousand feet up.
The feeling of accomplishment as you stumble to the summit and see the sign that you made it to the peak.
The sweat dripping down the sides of your cheeks, to the corners of your lips. Leaving you with a slightly salty taste on your tongue.
Your heart pounding in your chest because you just pushed your limits on the last quarter mile up.
Complete fatigue in your arms and legs.
It's an experience.
An experience that once lived, you'll never want it to end.

The crisp air as you look over the edge, comprehending how high you are.
The sound of the wind whistling through the trees below.
The smell. So fresh, so gentle.
Your mind is empty, and you are fully at peace with yourself.
Alone with the world, I can't feel anything but pure bliss.
I look out and understand my place on this earth.
I understand that there is nothing greater than being given the opportunity to experience what is out there.
To be able to take a breath of fresh air,
To be able to use my body in its entirety.
To be able to share with others my passions, my life.
I was given this life not to waste on hoping and wishing.
I was given this life to pursue, take advantage of the things life has to offer.
To look back, and regret nothing.
One thousand feet up, I look out and discover who I am, and what I am capable of being.
That I am here to live and enjoy every second that I am given.
