To The High School Best Friends I Can't Live Without

Now you may be thinking that once you hit college you make your friends you will have for life. This idea proves to be true but, I want to take the time to write to the people that helped me through the changing path of high school to shape me into the person I am able to be today in college. So, to the people that continue to change my life and loved me in high school, thank you. Thank you Thank you THANK YOU! I would honestly not be the person I am today without y'all. So here it goes, "An Open Letter To My High School Best Friends:"

Dear Greatest People Of All Time,

I know I don't tell y'all this often enough but I love y'all so deeply and I would not be the person I am today without y'all. College is great and I love the new friendships I have formed but I miss spending eight hours of my life with y'all. I say eight hours, but let's be real, with all of the coffee dates, movies, football games, concerts, MC-ing school events, and the occasional road trip, it feels like we spent a lifetime together.

I know I was a handful at times. Stressing about the little details in life and often wanting everything to be perfect, but that's just not reality. Y'all showed me that it is okay to live a beautifully imperfect life. You introduced me to new music, you loved me when I felt unlovable, but most importantly, whether you knew it or not, y'all continued to show me Christ's love.

Thank you for putting up with my sarcasm and wit. My sass and constant over-involved personality. Y'all continue to feed my coffee addiction and make sure I am always on trend! I loved getting to be y'all's cheerleaders from your presentation into society, taking on a long distance friendship, art shows, killing it in the praise band on Wednesday’s, or tearing it up in the world of athletics.

Most importantly, I know to this day I can still always count on y'all. Whether it be a late night FaceTime call, maintaining our group chat from junior year, or texts to remind me that y'all are never too far away, it means the world to me.

Now that we are in college we may be in different sororities, cheering on rival football teams, taking the art world by storm, killin’ it in the world of college athletics, or just pushing forward with all the high goals we set for ourselves after graduation, I am thankful for the connections we made and how our friendships have continued to grow.

I can't wait to see all the awesome things y'all continue to accomplish on the winding path to adulthood. No matter how hard you try to shake me, I'm not going anywhere. I look forward to always being y'all's cheerleader no matter where life takes us!

With so much love,

The Person Who Never Said Thank You Enough!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
