My High School Friends Are The Best Friends I Will Ever Have

I'm not stuck in high school, I just love these people.

People will usually say that they either loved or hated high school. In such formative years of our lives, I truly feel bad for people who didn't enjoy any part of their high school experience.

And if you did enjoy your high school experience, that does NOT mean you "peaked" in high school. You can have great memories while continuing to grow.

I can honestly, with my whole heart, say that I enjoyed so much about my high school experience, but mostly because of the people I surrounded myself with.

I loved my high school friends so much that I often worry I will never be able to find a group of people as great as they were.

Each one was an individual who stood for what they believed in, yet they were accepting of anyone and everyone. They have always inspired me, and they still continue to do so.

I occasionally find myself reminiscing over the summers we spent surrounding a bonfire, burning weird shit, and talking all night. I wish so badly I could get everyone together to relive those memories, but instead, I happily watch each one of them succeeding and thriving in their chosen passions.

People say you never stay close with your high school friends, and that may be true to an extent.

I have managed to gather up a handful of them maybe twice in the past few years, but I still feel that we are all connected. Though we are all on different paths, I feel the love between us will always be a constant.

I wish nothing but success and fortune for each one of them. Even if I haven't seen or spoken to them in years, I know we all share the same wonderful memories and growth.

To my friends from high school: I love you, I miss you, and please never forget that I am here for you no matter what. I am so proud of all of you, and I truly hope to see you again soon!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
