Yes, here it is, another article about recruitment and all its wonders. This time though, this article is about the wonders that happen after the formal process of getting into the chapter of your choice. This process, the best process, is adding to your family!

Last February, I met a girl during the big/little process who I knew would change my life forever, luckily it worked out for the both of us and Ali Epstein became my big.

The process of matching and hoping and wondering can be confusing and stressful, but it's personally my favorite time of the year.

After a year of being the littlest in the #RedVelvetFam, it's time for me to meet the new PC and see who is next to join my family's legacy.

For those of you who don't know, big/little matches are a process. You meet with girls usually in the member class above you (or more specifically whoever is taking a little) wherever you want and just talk and hang out. It's kind of like a date with your best friend before you knew she was your best friend.

When I went through the process to find my big, we first met up at Starbucks, then the next time we met up we went to Chipotle. The choices of where you want to hang out are endless. This all seems fun until you realize why some call the process "stressful." There are at least 60 girls you have to meet in a span of 2 weeks so you can choose the person you feel you'd be the best match with, but in the end, it's all worth it.

Some say you know who your big/little is the second you meet them, other's say that's not true and knowing if they're right for you is more of a long and drawn out process. Not only is this process great and so much fun because you add or become part of a family, but it's a great way to get to know the girls in your chapter and meet new people.

For the rest of the girls that I didn't place number one on my "big" list, it didn't mean that I wouldn't have a relationship with them, it just meant they wouldn't have the title "big."

One thing no one should ever go into this process thinking is that this process is finite and this is where the rest of your friendships with girls in the house stop. The goal of this process is just to find out who you'd call at 3 a.m. drunk and crying knowing that they'll be on their way the second they see your name pop up on their phone, or who you'd want to watch endless episodes of Grey's Anatomy with while eating 3 tubs of ice cream.

It's to find out who is going to be your go to and that doesn't mean that you wont have other girls to do these things with but when it comes down to it, your big or little is the person you want to hang out with the most. This year taking a little, I'm going into the process excited to meet everyone and excited to bring into the Red Velvet Family a new member of the Meg Marsh Dynasty.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
