2017 has been an amazing year. Personally, I have experienced new things, learned a lot and made some great memories. I have gone on some amazing trips with my family and made so many memories with them. I have learned a lot in school and have gained new knowledge and career goals. I have discovered me, who I truly am and who I want to me. So here is an open letter to 2017 me.
Hey future me,
Let’s review our year real quick!
You were able to meet the one and only Grandpa Rossy, Chicago Cubs' former catcher. He sadly retired but you and your roommate drove 2 hours, slept overnight in the car and waited in line for 6 hours. Totally worth it!
You also were able to meet Kyle Schwarber! Your favorite Cubs baseball player. There was some crying involved but it was a good time! Also check out that World Series Championship ring!
In the middle of the spring semester, your mom won an award within her company. The cool thing was that she had just started at the company and off the bat won best employee in her section. Her award was an all-expense paid trip to Cancun and she invited you along. You skipped class for a week and enjoyed the sun!
YOU SAW HAMILTON AND CRIED FOR A MONTH!!!!
You were lucky enough to be one of the top ambassadors in the Margaritaville University program. Eight ambassadors, including yourself, were invited to an all expenses paid trip to Florida to help shape the program for the following year and enjoy the sunshine. You had meetings every day for 3 hours but enjoyed the rest of the week in the water and sand.
Your family and I went to the Caymans for summer vacation. It was so beautiful! You swam with stingrays, ate amazing food and explored caves.
You attended the Illinois State fair, stood in line for 3 hours and ran your way to the front row. You were able to see Chase Bryant, Dustin Lynch and Brad Paisley. You were literally 10 feet from them!
The year has finally arrived. You have waited for far too long! You finally turned 21 and can now legally drink! Geez, I am old.
You also meet your amazing boyfriend this year! He is cute, funny and loves you. He will do anything for you and loves you with his whole heart. He is sometimes annoying but you still love him.So many things happened this year but let's look forward to 2018. 2018 is a new start for new things! You still have more to learn and new things to see. Stay in school, duh! Also, don't forget to live and relax. Here's to many more adventures and memories. You have goals and you have dreams. Let's enjoy 2018 and make it a great one!
