Just A Few Things To Thank My Boyfriend For
Daelyn Josefak

To My Boyfriend,

I would hope you already know how truly wonderful you are, but with Valentine's Day right around the corner, I wanted to remind you of what makes you so great and thank you for all the things you do for me on a daily basis, no matter how big or small.

Here are just a few of the million things I want to thank you for:

Thank you for always being down to get a burrito with me, even if you're sick of going to Cabo Fresh.

Thank you for giving me a blanket when I get in your freezing car on those windy, wintery mornings and for insisting I use it, even if I claim I'm not cold (because I'm probably lying).

Thank you for always making sure I get inside safely when you drop me off late at night.

Thank you for promising to start watching This Is Us with me because it's the only show I talk about.

Thank you for giving The Bachelor a chance (now you can't miss an episode, either).

Thank you for opening the car door for me, proving chivalry is not dead (and sweet sometimes).

Thank you for making me laugh until my stomach hurts.

Thank you for loving Shake Shack as much as I do.

Thank you for helping me study when I start to freak out and feel like I'm going to fail.

Thank you for always being ready to go on an adventure with me (Europe, here we come).

Thank you for watching Family Feud with me for hours and getting as into it as I do.

Thank you for traveling 3,470 miles to visit me for just six days when I was abroad.

Thank you for taking random Buzzfeed quizzes with me and laughing at our results.

Thank you for coming with me when I get tattoos, even though you must be bored out of your mind.

Thank you for laughing at my jokes (even when they're lame).

Thank you for playing endless games of Mario Party with me.

Thank you for always getting me apple juice with my bagel because you know how much I love it.

Thank you for listening to my rants, no matter what I'm babbling on about or how long I may go on for.

Thank you for making everything fun, even if we're just going to Kohl's.

Thank you for letting me play "Castle on the Hill" by Ed Sheeran constantly on repeat.

Thank you for never complaining about taking dozens of pictures with me and taking them with me until I find one I like.

Thank you for knowing exactly what to say when I feel anxious.

Thank you for always holding my hand in the car.

Thank you for making me feel beautiful.

Thank you for making me feel like the most special and loved person on the planet each and every day.

Thank you for being you and for being my best friend.

I could go on forever with the list of things I appreciate about you, but I could write the longest list in the world and still never truly be able to express how much you mean to me and how grateful I am for all the love, support and laughs you give me.

Thank you for all of it - I love you!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
