The United States of America
Born: 4 July, 1776 Died: 19 December, 2016
America the Beautiful lived a short, tumultuous life riddled with war and bloodshed, pain, heartache and sorrow. From her very birth to her end days, she was forced to benefit the wealthiest individuals and forsake those that were less fortunate. Oftentimes, she made decisions which affected the rest of the world, some times for the better, others in the name of greed and faux-prosperity.
America the Beautiful was a beacon for all those seeking a better way of life, known for sheltering the "huddled masses yearning to be free." She gave everything she possibly could to help all those in need. She provided a home, a sanctuary for them, all while asking for nothing in return. In essence, America the Beautiful was very generous and selfless indeed.
America the Beautiful believed in a place for all people, not just one kind of person. That is what made America the Beautiful so absolutely awe-inspiring, the shining city upon a hill. The inability of America to prevent the travesty that occurred on 19 December will forever mar the memories of those who loved and cherished the true and unyielding values of America the Beautiful.
Though America the Beautiful is gone, her lessons will live on ceaselessly throughout time, always inspiring those that believed whole-heartedly in her morals and values that have been ingrained into us for 240 years.
America the Beautiful, always and forever.
