This list is for all those who, like myself, have been dispirited by the recent inundation of evil and violence in our society. While I don’t intend to belittle the gravity of these tragedies, I do wish to share these current acts of compassion that have been performed at large by ordinary individuals in support of one another. I hope this collection of simple, uplifting, everyday occurrences will bring a smile to your face and encourage you to keep the chain of benevolence alive! Click on the photos for more information.
1. Because of these 200 strangers, a veteran with no known friends or family members had attendees at her funeral.
2. A 9-year-old set up a lemonade stand in determination to fund her brother's heart surgery and has succeeded in raising over $500!
3. This server at restaurant rushed to help a diner with cerebral palsy.
4. A teacher, shaken by her student's attempted suicide, wrote the teen girl an encouraging handwritten letter describing what made her special. Hearing about its profound impact on the despondent adolescent inspired her to reach out to even more of her students.
5. The highlight of a little girl's birthday was giving a cupcake to "the smiley garbage man."
6. Canadian trainers taught this horse a method of comforting crying infants. So endearing!
