When someone walks into your life and completely knocks you off your feet.

My heart is racing. He just walked in and it is already there. The attraction…that pull between us. My breathing hitches.

“Smells good,” he brushes past me and I gasp. What the hell…he barely touched me.

“T-thank you. I hope it tastes as good as it smells.” I turn my head and smile up at him. My heart warms as he returns my smile.Gosh, he is so damn adorable.

“You really are one beautiful woman, you know that?” He steps towards me, placing his hands on my hips.

“Mmm…only when you said it.” I lean against him, his front to my back. What is it about this man that drives me crazy? His smile could turn heads, his compassion could thaw ice, and his consideration…well…his consideration is refreshing. Do not even get me started on his smile.

He turns me around so that we are staring into the depths of each other’s eyes; mine green, his blue. “What are you thinking about?”

“You.”

“What about me?” He smirks, his cheeks just slightly flushed.

“Just about how wonderful and refreshing you are,” I blush. And about how easy it is for you to drive me wild. My lips part.

“There seems to be more than that.” He slowly runs his thumb across my bottom lip. I swallow hard as my mouth dries. I stay silent as I cannot seem to find my voice.

“You know that you can tell me anything, baby. Nobody is going to judge you anymore.” He starts to lean in, stopping just inches from my lips. He is teasing me and he doesn’t even know it.

“You amaze me…” my eyes being to water, but I hold a weak smile. His eyes soften and I cannot help but stretch up and kiss him.I welcome the groan that escapes his mouth.

When he pulls away, we are both taking in gulps of air. “Wow,” he says breathless.

“Wow is right.” What was that? Did he feel it, too? The sauce on the stove hisses at me. Shit. I whip around and turn it off as I give it a final stir. “Want a taste?”

He leans in, blows gently as to not spill a drop, and sucks the sauce into his mouth. He closes his eyes in a silent appreciation.

“You like?” I am nervous.

His eyes open and he places a hand on my cheek. “I love it.” I lean into his touch and breathe in his scent. He smells of …..

He turns me once more and plants a sweet kiss on my lips. I can feel it, the heat in my cheeks. “What was that for?”

He chuckles almost to himself, “You drive me wild, that’s all.” He smirks, his eyes smoldering.

Fuck. My mouth dries and my heart rate increases, butterflies in my stomach.

As I stare into the eyes of the man who has changed my life, I can see it. How I make him feel. I can see it in his eyes, in his body language, and in his words.

“T-this is all so new to me…” I whisper as I look down at our feet. These emotions…the lack of fear and sadness…I feel…I feel happy. For the first time in years, I actually feel nothing but happiness. Without even thinking, I grab his hand and place in on my chest to show him just what he does to me. “I am so nervous…” I look up into his soft blue eyes.

His eyes widen for a moment, but then he looks relieved. Slowly, he grabs my hand and places it on his chest. I gasp. His heart is beating just as fast as mine is. “Me, too, baby.”

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
