In the majority of career, you more than likely have to deal with people on a daily basis whether it be: Taking orders, serving, pampering, giving some sort of information, teaching, but in the medical field there's a different, one of a kind, job you have when dealing with people.

First, if you work in the medical field you know you have your good days and your bad days. There is no changing that just like any job. You will meet people who brighten your world, and ones who try to bring gloom and doom to it, but you will also meet ones who change your perspective on life as you know it

You see, working in the medical field is not for everyone. You have to have patience, selflessness, compassion, thousands of smiles a day, and overall a caring soul. People will test you every day whether it be patients or co-workers. You will experience every type of emotion while working as a medical professional.

No, it does not matter what department you work in, your salary, or how much more you may think you do than someone else. Each individual job in the healthcare field is a necessary piece to the puzzle. Doctors, nurses, radiographers, respiratory therapists, lab workers, EMTs, STNAs... You name it and every single person in that medical facility is what makes the world go round inside there

You will meet patients who hurt your feelings, are rude, impatient, happy, friendly, talkative, angry, and sad. And guess what? We do it all for them. As a healthcare worker, you have a blessed job. You will see things that change your life. You will hear stories that change your life. You will learn things that change your life. You will see things that change your life. Yourself as a person will be tested continuously, and that is what makes true medical professionals, professionals

You will have to be a best friend, a shoulder to cry on, a listener, a teacher, a member of a very large family. You have the ability to change someone's life, to make someone's day better or easier. Every person that is in your care should be treated equally and as you would wish to be treated.

There is no other job where you will continuously see the happiest, saddest, and hardest moments of peoples lives. And you know what's so incredible about that? Those people will remember you... The one who smiled, held their hand, listened to their stories, comforted them in their time of need. Working in the healthcare field is in no way simple or easy, but it is a blessing because every day you get the opportunity to care for other people, and in many ways, you're a superhero that to them, they never knew they or the world needed.

To all healthcare workers... Thank you.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
