What life is like having such awesome brothers

What It's Like To Have Siblings
The Perez Family

I like to think of us as the three musketeers. When we're together, we're always together. That's one thing that I've always loved about the relationship I have with my brothers and it's such a strong sibling bond that I don't think could ever dissipate. It doesn't matter if it's been a few hours that we haven't seen each other or a couple of years, we still have always been the same and always will be. Here's a few things that hold true about having siblings:

1. You have someone who looks like you

My brothers and I might not look totally alike but there's still no mistaking us being related. It can be fun trying to match up similarities whether its physical features or personality traits. For my brothers and me, we all have similar smiles and eyes.

2. You have someone to laugh with

My brothers have never gone a day where they haven't joked around about something. There's never been a dull moment and they're always making me laugh til I'm crying.

3. They're your oldest and best friends

I have always said it. My brothers before anyone else will always be my best friends. They were there for me before I developed my other friendships with people from school and they will be there after. "Because I have my brothers I'll always have a friend".

4. You learn a lot from each other

There's still so much that I learn from my brothers everyday whether I realize it or not, or whether they realize it or not.

5. You have someone to take silly photos with

Among all the photos we take, there's always at least a few photos that show how much we joke around or how we act on a daily basis. And you know what? It never gets old.

6. You motivate each other

There have been so many times when I was unsure of myself about something or I didn't know what to do about a situation or even needing that little push to reach a goal. That's one thing I can count on my brothers for, to give that extra push. Sometimes it just helps to see them going for something like, my younger brother Brandon's motivation to go for what he wants and dreaming big, or my older brother Anthony's heart for traveling and showing us all the amazing places he's been to. It makes me want to reach for my goals everyday.

7. They will always have you back

One thing I know I can always rely on with my brothers is the fact that they will always have my back no matter what. And I know it sounds cliche but, it 's true. They're always there for me just like I'll always be there for them in there own times of need. It's what makes us that much closer.

8. Life is just better with siblings

Now, I've never known what it's like not to have siblings, but I do know that based off of having siblings, life is never boring because they're always doing something to make me laugh or bring me up when I'm down. I love them more than they will ever know and words cannot fully express how much they mean to me. They make me a better me and I would hope that I do the same for them. I love you Brandon and Anthony!

Why would I need superheroes when I have my brothers.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
