Everybody who has ever been in a relationship likes to believe at one point that the person they are with is considered "the one".

What's behind that whole idea? You all know what I'm talking about. It's something that we really can't control. Why does this happen? Because most of the time this is what hurts us the most.

We've all been through bad breakups before. They are naturally going to happen in your lifetime. They truly do make you a stronger person. You learn from your mistakes.

That's why, as a college student, I'm okay with not meeting "her" yet. I know the right time will come. There's plenty of fish in the sea.

So, why am I okay with not meeting her yet? Well, let me explain that to you.

Why Rush?

It seems like nowadays, people rush into relationships before they truly get to know the person. I'm the first to admit, I've done this before and now I've learned not to rush into anything.

Being in a relationship should be more like running a marathon than a sprint. The same should be said for finding the right person. Slowly take your time and become friends first before possibly moving it further on.

Being A Better Person

You should always be the best person possible at all times, but we all know that isn't possible. You should focus on yourself while waiting for that perfect person.

You have all the free time in the world, spend it on making yourself the best possible so when you do meet that person you're at your best.

No Pressure

Yes, it might feel like all the pressure is on you to find that someone. Most of your friends have a significant other and your family is breathing down your neck to find someone.

The thing to do is RELAX. You can control the amount of pressure you feel. You shouldn't feel pressured to find a relationship. The perfect one will come and it'll all seem so natural.

There's no pressure on you at all.

Enjoy Life

When you meet someone, do you want them to be boring or spontaneous? People love having fun and going on adventures. You can enjoy life to the fullest when being single. You get to decide what you want to do.

Live life to the fullest and be happy as much as possible. Don't be down in the dumps just because you're single.

Find your happy place and stay there and eventually someone will fit right into that happy place.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
